Freshman Admission
International Baccalaureate (IB) Program

Missouri S&T recognizes the International Baccalaureate Diploma for admission, granting course credit and advanced placement to students who have passed higher-level subject examinations at a satisfactory standard. Missouri S&T will not grant credit for standard- level examinations.

1Students must choose between History 176 (American History since 1877) or History 112 (Modern Western Civilization) prerequisites for different advanced courses.

2If student enrolls and achieves a grade of C or better in Chemistry 3.

3If student enrolls and achieves a grade of C or better in Chemistry 51 & 52.

* Engineering majors will receive credit for MATH 014 (4 credit hours). Non-engineering majors will receive credit for MATH 008 (5 credit hours).
