Mike became an Admissions Counselor with Missouri S&T in October, 2001. Mike travels from his home near St. Louis to visit high schools in northern and central Missouri, and he is also available at many of Missouri S&T's special events.

Mike earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and his Master's in Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He taught science for nine years in the Ferguson-Florissant School District and served as Director of Guidance at Francis Howell High School for twenty-two years before joining Missouri S&T. Mike also coached high school soccer, wrestling, and track. He is an active member of the National Education Association-Retired and Missouri Association of College Admission Counselors.
